I'm ready to draw your students' stories!

Writing can be fun!

It doesn't have to be drudgery. The key, though, is finding a way to involve the imaginations of kids when they write. As you think about bringing an author or illustrator to your school, ask yourself this question: How will this presenter motivate our students to put their own ideas on paper?

My narrative writing program will get your kids excited about writing their stories. Through a combination of assemblies and grade-level workshops, my day in your school will leave your kids just itching to get started. Even the most reluctant writers will get pulled into the fun of creating. The drawings I leave behind for your school are all unique, since they come from the tales we'll be creating. See how much more you get for your money when you book my presentation.

My new persuasive writing program will bring the same motivational fun to writing persuasive essays. Aimed toward grades 3-6, this assembly and improvisational workshops will help your students get ready for those state-standardized tests!

Check out the new assembly program I've added. Now, in addition to my narrative writing assembly, I have one for

But don't take my word for it. See what teachers are saying about my narrative show. Or see for yourself what a day in a school looks like. I have fun writing activities for kids and teachers including stories I've started for you to finish in The Story Kitchen; questions you can ask to build your own character in Mugshots, and see what kind of drawings I leave behind in schools!

For parents: creative fun for families gives you a chance to create stories in your home with Wacky Headlines, Invent a World, and others. Or use your imagination with Cloud Shapes, Seeing Double, or the ultimate doodle challenge, IGYFT! And check out my journal of creative discovery with my daughter at Adventures in Graceland!

Great for laughs: Random Headlines! It will give you over a hundred million ways to start a story. And check out my Food Art. You'll never look at cold-cuts the same again!

As always, I love to hear from you. Email me questions, comments. Tell me about the story you're writing! Teachers, I'd love to hear how you use my activities. Come on everyone, let's get creative!
