Why? Because these drawings flowed from stories elementary school kids invented in my workshops. I've sifted through the hundreds of drawings I've done in schools and selected the ones I think are perfect for generating stories. You'll find in these pages dragons, aliens, monsters, wizards, talking animals and adventurous kids -- all captured in dynamic black-and-white line drawings.

Accompanying the drawings are lessons that guide kids through the process of creating a story from the situation pictured in the art. The worksheets are easy to use and written with simple vocabulary. I have developed stories with tens of thousands of kids -- I know how to bring out their ideas!
