My visit to West Ridge Elementary!

Check out these stories:

The four ingredients: a giant in a mobile home who wants a dog made out of cheese and has a silly sidekick of a llama

The story: our hero is one part of a traveling singing team: the Gi-llamas. But life on the road isn't easy, especially when you have a hunger like our giant. He's just craving a cheese dog.

But the llama knows they're going to be late for their next concert, so he drives really fast through the drive through.

Talk about fast food!

The four ingredients: a zebra in China looking for treasure up against a cheetah

The story: A zebra is out to find the legendary Golden Dragon. He finds it high up on a rope bridge between two mountains in China, but he didn't realize it would be guarded by a Cheetah -- who is a long way from his home!

I drew this rope bridge about to fall because my son recently said, when we were watching a movie with a rope bridge -- that he's never seen one in the movies that doesn't end up being cut and falling.

Looks like a dangerous spot for our zebra. (Wait... the spots are on the cheetah. Oh, never mind.)

Workshop stories

This fun story about a pirate who has a magic weasel is a good example of a story with too many ideas. We had trouble staying on one story line. But we liked the idea of a pirate who doesn't like being a pirate and uses his weasel to transport him away from trouble.

But his mom steals the weasel. Why? Because she's the meanest pirate ever -- or wants to be. So she challenges him to a contest, which includes Dodge-cannon-ball.

And just so you don't think this is too violent -- that's a dodge ball shot out of a cannon!

A girl goes on a class trip to some wet lands, where strange clouds that look like bunnies seem to be swirling overhead. Turns out that they are rabbits that have been transformed into menacing clouds because of a mean boy in her class.

He's taken a magic rock. She needs to get it back into its place or the bunnies will lower on to the class like a dangerous storm!

Finally, here's an alligator that has a magic hula hoop that can take him back to the swamp. He gets captured by a mean circus pig who wants to put on a show of animals and clowns all hula-hooping. Our poor alligator has to figure out which hoop is his.

Guess who has it? The evil ring-master pig!

At the last second, the alligator dives through and disappears back into his swamp. There's an act that's tough to follow!

I love working alongside creative kids. It is such fabulous fun to create with the help of the active imaginations of kids like West Ridge kids.

You know what made me feel really great? When a boy came to me during the day and said that he was going home to draw a picture and write a story! That's what my presentation is all about.

Keep being creative, and check out the fun stuff on my site!
