My visit was a short one, but very fun. We had a great time inventing stories, with many grades all together. I really enjoyed the spirit of the kids and the staff!

The four ingredients: an ant at the beach looking to grow hair up against a bald guy who wants to be a flying octopus
The story: I can't say that this story came together perfectly, but it has to do with an ant who wants a soft place to live, so he's rubbing a new kind of sunscreen that also grows hair on a bald guy at the beach. The bald guy wants to get rid of him, so he uses his pet octopus.
Okay, so the story didn't really make sense, and the guy's face is kind of lopsided (that happens sometimes because I draw from the one side), but it was fun to work all those crazy ingredients into a drawing!

The workshop stories

We started with this fun doodle of a guy yelling. From there, we brainstormed a wide range of ideas, but two themes seemed to come through: a pizza delivery guy and a bee-hunter.

|
So this guy is trying to rescue a girl he likes from the dangerous bees that live in a lone tree in a vast cornfield. She can't move without the bees coming after her.
He comes to the rescue, drawing off the bees and flinging pizzas to distract them while he races to save the girl!
Flinging pizza! -- talk about fast food!
